Annual Budget Vote & Board of Education Election 2015-2016

Polling places for Tuesday, May 19, 2015, Budget Vote & Board of Education Election are as follows:

District #1 – Blauvelt Residents – South Orangetown Middle School

District #2 – Orangeburg Residents – Tappan Zee High School

District #3 – Tappan Residents – William O. Schaefer School

District #4 – Grandview, Palisades, Piermont, & Sparkill Residents – Tappan Zee Elementary

Please note: These locations are only for the school budget vote and board election.

 

SOCSD Council PTA to Hold Public Forum for BOE Candidates

The South Orangetown Council PTA will host a forum for the Candidates for the Board of Education on Monday, May 4th at the Tappan Zee High School Library, 15 Dutch Hill Road, Orangeburg, NY, beginning at 7:45 PM.

Ira Steinberg and Kenneth Malpeli, both of Blauvelt, are vying for the seat being vacated by outgoing BOE member Annmarie Uhl.

All members of the South Orangetown community are invited and encouraged to attend the Candidates Forum to hear the candidates’ visions and priorities for the future of education in South Orangetown, and to discuss the issues that are important to them and to district parents and taxpayers.

2014-15 Calendar Changes
The Board adopted 2014-2015 Calendar included three snow days and we have currently used four snow days.

Please note that school will now be in session on: Friday, May 22 & Tuesday May 26.
